Additive Manufactured Thermoelectric Generator Systems

Common wisdom has been that supersonic cold-spray technology cannot be used for brittle, crystalline materials such as thermoelectric semiconductors. Over the past five years TTEC, through it's patented and patent-pending cold-spray system design and materials and processes, has shown that cold-spray technology can be used to deposit both N-type and P-type thermoelectric semiconductors and all of the metallic and non-metallic layers necessary to build up functional thermoelectric generators and coolers. Deposition on curved surfaces, individual pellets, large areas, and thin high performance layers are all achievable.
